This research was conducted to apply situation analysis or gender analysis in development planning and budgeting so that it is hoped that the gender gap that occurs at the level of development beneficiaries can be minimized or even eliminated.This research is qualitative research, namely a research process to understand human or social phenomena by creating a comprehensive and complex picture that can be presented in words, reporting detailed views obtained from informant sources, and carried out in a natural setting. Data collection was carried out through observation, literacy studies, structured interviews and in-depth interviews with key informants from the leadership of the Regional Research and Development Planning Agency, Purwakarta Regency, Related SKPD (Regional Work Unit), Health Service, Education Service, Population and Civil Registry Office (Disdukcapil) and the Central Statistics Agency and ended with a Focus Group Discussion as triangulation. research result.In general, the implementation of gender mainstreaming in Purwakarta Regency can be carried out in two stages, namely: gender analysis; and gender budgeting.This gender analysis examines gender problems or activity output gaps using various tools. Some solutions to gender strategy problems in Purwakarta Regency include gender strategy problems in the health sector, education sector, employment sector, economic sector, social sector and political decision making sector, by conducting analysis using the Gender Analysis Pathway, compiling a Gender Budget System to resolve issues strategic gender.
